I was gone for 6 weeks from the computer. A new program I think was loaded Microsoft 365. Now none of my email works. No synching. Can't contact anyone. And they keep referring me to my other Microsoft account. I had no idea I had more than one Microsoft account. I can't even find them. One is a school/work account which I have never used. I just want my email back. I have two email addresses, gmail and msn. Help

    Hey there,

I'm Pau, and I'm your Independent Advisor. After the Microsoft 365 update, here's how to get your Gmail and MSN email to sync again:

    1. Look at your signed-in Microsoft account:

Get Outlook or any other Microsoft app open > Click on your name in the upper right corner > Take note of the email address that says "signed-in."

    1. Get rid of unwanted accounts:

Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts > Choose accounts you don't know > Remove.

    1. To manually add your Gmail and MSN accounts:

How to use Mail or Outlook > Select "Add Account" and then "Google" or "Outlook.com" for Gmail or MSN. Type in the right information to sign in.

    1. Turn on sync:

Click Settings, then Accounts, then Email & Accounts. Pick out your email > Change the sync settings > Sync should be on.

    1. Get rid of saved credentials:

Search Windows for Credential Manager > Windows Credentials > Remove entries related to your email accounts.

    1. If you have Outlook, make a new profile:

Outlook > File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles > Add new profile > Add your emails.

    1. Delete the Mail app (if you have one):

Settings > Apps > Mail and Calendar > Advanced options > Reset.

    Advanced steps if issues continue:

    1. Run Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant:

Download and run from https://diagnostics.office.com/ to automatically diagnose and fix issues.

    1. Check for Windows updates and repair Office:

Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check and install updates.

Control Panel > Programs > Microsoft Office > Change > Quick Repair or Online Repair.

    1. Temporarily disable antivirus/firewall:

Turn off security software briefly to rule out blocking of email sync.

I hope I was able to address your concerns. If you need further assistance or have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

    Kind regards,

    Pau
