I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with Brother PE11 Embroidery software on your new Windows 11 laptop.
- Disable core virtualization and security features:
- Go to Start > Search for "Core isolation"
- In the Core isolation settings, turn off the toggle for Memory integrity
- Restart your computer
- Go to Start > Search for "Turn Windows features on or off"
- In the list appears, uncheck the boxes for: HyperV (ensure all its sub-folders are also unchecked), Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Hypervisor Platform
- Click OK and restart your computer
- Disable virtualization in BIOS/UEFI:
- Go to Settings > System > Recovery
- Under Advanced startup, click Restart now.
- Your computer will restart to a blue screen with options. Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings.
- Once in the BIOS/UEFI menu, look for settings related to "Virtualization Technology," "Intel VT-x," "AMD-V," or "SVM Mode." The exact naming and location will vary depending on your laptop's manufacturer.
- Disable this setting, save your changes, and exit the BIOS/UEFI. Your computer will then restart.

- Unchecking Windows PowerShell:
- Go to Start and search "Turn Windows features on or off"
- In the list, find and uncheck Windows PowerShell
- Click OK then restart your computer
