I have a DELL laptop that I am trying to connect to a SMARTboard (interactive whiteboard) thorugh Miracast.

With all the SMARTboard seetings correct, I still struggle to connect to the display through casting. I have used a Microsoft Wireless Adapter in the past and it has worked very well. As they are now discontinued, which would be the best alternative that you allow me to cast consistently to different SMARTboards around the school, while still enabling touch features on the SMARTboard?

    Dear JN,

We understand your need for a reliable wireless casting solution that supports SMARTboard interactivity across multiple classrooms. While the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter has been discontinued, there are several alternatives that offer Miracast-compatible screen mirroring and touch support.

One recommended option is the BenQ QCast Video Streaming Dongle, which supports 1080p resolution and works well with Windows devices and interactive displays. Additionally, ScreenBeam 1100 Plus is widely used in education environments and supports Miracast, touchback functionality, and multi-device connectivity, making it ideal for SMARTboard integration.

Please ensure that your SMARTboards support HID over Miracast to enable touch features. We also suggest verifying firmware compatibility and network stability across your devices to ensure consistent performance.

    Best regards,

    Quinnie Quoc.
