New Dell desktop PC running Win 11. After PC goes to sleep, according to the timer set in Settings, I must push the PC Power button to wake the PC. Simply moving the mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard does not wake up the PC. I can "reactivate" the PC after the screen saver kicks in with just a mouse button or Enter key, but not after waking from Sleep mode. I have set the timers for screen saver (5 minutes), sleep (15 minutes), and hibernate (two hours). I have the "pressing the sleep button will make my PC" and the "pressing the power button will make my PC" set as "do nothing". But I have tried other settings without changing the problem. Which is the "sleep" button, by the way?

I want to be able to wake the PC from Sleep or Hibernate by pressing the left mouse button or pressing a key on the keyboard.

Hello, welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

First, please enter the following command in CMD to see which devices can wake your computer:

    powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

If your keyboard and mouse devices are not displayed here, please try:

    1. Open Device Manager → Expand "Mice and other pointing devices" and then "Keyboard".
    2. Locate your keyboard and mouse devices, then right-click the device → Properties → Power Management tab → Check "Allow this device to wake the computer" and then click OK.

These are my thoughts and suggestions; I hope they are helpful.
