A Microsoft app for iOS and Android devices that enables authentication with two-factor verification, phone sign-in, and code generation
To remove your email from the Microsoft Authenticator app, follow these steps:
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device.
- Select the credential card associated with the email you want to remove.
- Tap on the trash can icon in the upper right corner to delete the credential.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Please note that deleting a verifiable credential from the Authenticator app is an irrevocable process, meaning you cannot recover it once deleted. If you need to use the credential again, you will have to go through the issuance process to get it back.
If you are unable to access the Authenticator app because your previous phone is not functioning, you may need to access your Microsoft account through a web browser to manage your security settings and remove the authenticator methods directly from there.
