    Hi Frankie,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how annoying error code 0x800704cf is when you're trying to sign into your Microsoft account, especially when your internet seems to be working fine. Usually, this error means Windows is having a hard time checking your network is real for Microsoft stuff, even if you are online. Let’s sort this together.

This can happen for a few reasons, like your network settings being off, old drivers, a VPN messing things up, or something being off with your TCP/IP.

    Please follow these steps.

You can try some more in-depth things, like resetting TCP/IP and Winsock. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type these commands one after the other:

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset

    ipconfig /flushdns

    Then, restart your computer.

If none of that does anything, you might want to think about making a new user profile

I hope this answer is helpful, if you have any questions, feel free to reply.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
