Even though I installed AutoCAD 2019 from a CD with a code and license, now my AutoCAD won't open. Please fix the problem.

    Hello Naseh,

Thank you for reaching out about the issue with AutoCAD not opening after installation I understand how frustrating it can be when you’ve already installed the software with a valid license and it still doesn’t work. This often happens due to compatibility conflicts or missing updates, especially after major Windows updates like version 24H2.

To resolve this I recommend ensuring that both Windows and AutoCAD are fully updated because patches are frequently released to address these issues. If that doesn’t help try uninstalling and reinstalling AutoCAD 2019 to refresh all components. Running AutoCAD as an administrator or adjusting compatibility settings for an earlier Windows version can also help. If the problem persists contacting Autodesk Support is a good next step since they can provide specialized guidance.

Could you confirm if you’ve recently updated your Windows version or installed any new software that might conflict with AutoCAD?

I hope this answer is helpful if you have further questions feel free to reply back

    Regards,

    Marcelo

It appears that there may be compatibility issues with AutoCAD 2019 after updating to Windows 11, version 24H2. Users have reported that AutoCAD 2022 might not open after the update, and a compatibility hold has been applied to devices with Autodesk AutoCAD 2022 installed. While your version is 2019, it's possible that similar issues could arise due to system updates or conflicts with other software.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both Windows and AutoCAD are fully updated. Sometimes, patches are released to address compatibility issues.
    2. Reinstall AutoCAD: Uninstall and then reinstall AutoCAD 2019 to ensure that all files are correctly installed and registered.
    3. Run as Administrator: Try running AutoCAD as an administrator. Right-click the AutoCAD shortcut and select "Run as administrator."
    4. Check Compatibility Settings: Right-click on the AutoCAD shortcut, go to Properties, then the Compatibility tab, and try running it in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows.
    5. Consult Autodesk Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Autodesk support for further assistance.

Please note that these steps are general troubleshooting methods and may not guarantee a fix, especially if the issue is related to the operating system update.
