Hi,

My husband has the xbox game pass and it is a new issue but now he cannot download certain games due to a age restriction content. His age has been verified and he is as being over the age of 18 ( he is 25). Reset age and has signed out and back in and it still will not allow him to download certain games. We have never set up a family account as this is new to us.

Thank you

It sounds like your husband is encountering age restriction issues on Xbox despite being over the age of 18. Since you mentioned that you have not set up a family account, it’s possible that the Xbox network is still applying default age-based restrictions or configurations that may affect his account.

For child accounts, restrictions on certain activities can be blocked due to age-based defaults, and while your husband is an adult, if there are any settings linked to a family organizer or if his account is mistakenly categorized, it could lead to these issues.

To resolve this, I recommend checking the account settings on the Xbox network to ensure that there are no parental controls or family settings applied that might restrict access to certain games. If everything appears correct and the issue persists, contacting Xbox support may be necessary to clarify the account status and resolve any potential misconfigurations.
