Dear @Bil,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
We apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter when using our services/ products. Based on your description, kindly try these following steps:
Reset the Windows Hello PIN from the lock screen
- Select Sign-in options and go to the PIN tile.
- Select I forgot my PIN.
- Follow the prompts to verify your identity and set a new PIN, then lock/unlock once to confirm it works.
- If PIN reset does not work, please reboot once and try again.
Clear/Reset the TPM, then recreate the PIN
- Press Window + R > run
tpm.msc - Choose Clear / Reset TPM (wording depends on device).
- Reboot.
- Set up Windows Hello PIN again
I sincerely hope you understand that the initial steps I suggested may not have completely fixed the issue, as there may still be underlying causes that have not yet been identified.
