Please try resetting OneDrive by pressing Windows + R and typing: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

After that, restart your PC and try signing in again.

Also, since you’re able to sign in via the browser, could you confirm if you’re using any VPN or firewall that might be blocking the connection? If possible, please share the exact error message you’re seeing.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue where the OneDrive app reports no internet connection even though the web works:

    1. Confirm you are signed in correctly
      • If the OneDrive icon is gray or has a line through it, select it and complete the Set up OneDrive wizard by entering the email address and password.
      • If sign-in fails because of credentials, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper: Sign-in helper.
    2. Restart the OneDrive sync app
      • Select Start and search for OneDrive.
      • If it is not running, start it and try signing in again.
      • If you cannot find it or it appears corrupted, download and install the latest version from the OneDrive download page.
    3. Check internet/firewall/VPN
      • Since the browser works but the sync app does not, a firewall, VPN configuration, or ISP filtering may be blocking the OneDrive client endpoints.
      • Temporarily disconnect from any VPN and test again.
      • If possible, connect the laptop through a mobile hotspot and try signing in. If this works, the issue is likely with the primary network or firewall.
      • If using a home router/firewall, ensure it is not blocking Microsoft 365 services. If using an ISP-managed connection, contact the provider and confirm they support access to Microsoft 365 products and services.
    4. Verify general OneDrive sign-in
      • Make sure the username and password are valid by signing in to the Microsoft Account dashboard in a browser.
      • If sign-in fails there, follow the account recovery guidance.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, update OneDrive to the latest version and then contact the network administrator or ISP to review firewall and filtering rules for Microsoft 365/OneDrive endpoints.
