I wish I could share good news, but the truth is no one can get you the bitlocker key, including Microsoft staff/support. https://support.microsoft.com/windows/find-your-bitlocker-recovery-key-6b71ad27-0b89-ea08-f143-056f5ab347d6 The link here says:"Important: Microsoft Support doesn't have the ability to retrieve, provide, or recreate a lost BitLocker recovery key."

You can use this to see if you can recover the username: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/forgotten-your-microsoft-account-username-b2049472-3b8f-27d3-61c6-67a668453f4c

While chance is slim, but if you set it up with school or work account via Microsoft 365 apps, it is worth checking here as well https://aka.ms/aadrecoverykey sign in with your work/school email credential in that case, as your key might be transfered to save here instead.

If you forgot your Microsoft account username and can’t access your BitLocker recovery key, try this:

🔹 1. Recover your Microsoft account

    • Go to: https://account.microsoft.com
    • Click “Sign-in options” → “Forgot username”
    • Use your phone number or alternate email to find your account

🔹 2. Check BitLocker recovery key locations

Your key may already be saved in one of these:

    • Another Microsoft account you may have used
    • Printed copy or USB drive
    • Work/School account (if device was managed)

🔹 3. If still not found

    🔹 4. Important reality

    • Without the recovery key, BitLocker cannot be bypassed
    • Last option: **Reset Windows (data will be lost)**If you forgot your Microsoft account username and can’t access your BitLocker recovery key, try this:
