Microsoft Authenticator does not provide a granular “throttle back” or rate‑limit control for cloud (or iCloud) backup inside the app. Backup is essentially on or off, tied to the platform’s cloud service:

There is no supported setting in Authenticator to partially limit or slow down backup frequency beyond these on/off controls and what the underlying OS/cloud service manages.
