Windows constantly changing default browser from Chrome back to Edge after patching

This is incredibly annoying. I have Google Chrome set as my default web browser and VLC set for my video files. But every time Windows installs a weekly cumulative quality update and reboots, it completely overrides my choices and resets my defaults back to Microsoft Edge and Windows Media Player. Why won't Windows respect my app preferences?

The root of the problem is that the developer set default software to Microsoft environment.I don't know how do you set default setting,maybe you can try it in the system setting,not browser setting.
