    Hello KannanSelvaraj,

Since August 2021 this option is supported, including 2016, 2019 and 2022 versions

    Please check: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/networking/technologies/dhcp/dhcp-subnet-options

    I understand the supportability.

Please understand the query. " Steps to create this option 83 with sub-option5 in DHCP server such as code id, name, value etc..."

KannanSelvaraj-6519 - Did you ever get an answer to this? Does any special configuration need to be done on Windows server 2019 / 2022 to get DHCP to hand out addresses with systems that use Option 83 Sub-option 5? I'm trying to get this working, and am not sure if I need to do anything special on the Windows DHCP server, or if it is all on the network switches.

I am curious to know what would be the Windows DHCP server's behavior if,

    • Windows DHCP server receives a DHCP request packet with an IP address say (10.1.1.10) and packet has option 82's link selection 5 as some different network say (20.1.1.0)?
