Azure VM Intermittent Network Connectivity

I have an Azure VM that had no issues for a few months after deploying but now everyday is a gamble if the network will be up or down. Usually the network is unstable.

When running tcping64.exe on the public IP and port you can see only 50% of the packets respond.

After a reboot, you will see 100% of the packets respond.

I have worked with Microsoft support for 3 months testing everything with no avail. They have even mentioned it was on their end and spent weeks collecting data, however they never fixed it and closed the case.

I have since then created all new resources, same region and subscription with the same problem. Some days however are better than others.

As a Microsoft Partner who sells Azure I would have expected better results and have now lost confidence in Microsoft.

    Hi AaronKrytus-3866,

Did you try any of the following options?

    1. Redeploy the Virtual Machine
    2. Change Virtual Machine Size, and once it completes back the VM to its original size

The idea behind these is because some times your VM might be hosted in a problematic rack, and by performing such actions make the VM be migrated - behind the scenes - to a different physical server.

I hope this helps you. Please let us know.

    Thanks,
