Is there an update for the tool mshta.exe when using an HTA file (HTML Application) to allow opening Microsoft Edge instead of Internet Explorer, upon clicking on a link?
I developed numerous split screen applications using .hta files to allow communications between the two screens.
Microsoft has fixed the mshta.exe problem which I reported above. I am so happy. Thanks so much, Microsoft.

Based on my research, HTAs are not cross-browser, as mshta.exe always rely on the IE rendering engine.
The latest version mshta.exe comes with the latest version of Windows.

I am elated and so happy that Microsoft has fixed the mshta.exe problem of opening Microsoft Edge instead of Internet Explorer. This problem has been successfully resolved by Microsoft. I am so grateful to your development team and all who took part in the resolution. I had little hope then, but realize today that my .hta app is working perfectly. Thanks Microsoft.
