Bitlocker Recovery Issue

Hello!

I am a technician at a relatively small organization, and we have a few laptops that we are having Bitlocker issues with. Whenever the machine enters the Bitlocker lockout, it does not give you the option to enter in the key, it asks for the keyboard layout and then only has two options, shutdown, and troubleshoot. When going into the recovery command prompt, the C: drive can not be found either. Is there any possible way to unlock the machines?

What's really strange about this issue is that this issue only happens on a specific model of laptop. None of the other desktops or laptops we have experience this issue. We use Active Directory with our Bitlocker encryptions if that is important.

Thanks!

We figured out the issue. Our computers had their storage devices set to RAID (even though they only have one drive). We switched our computer to use AHCI and that allowed us to unlock the computers, we then had to switch back to RAID to access the operating system and data. A little quirky but that did the fix.

We will be moving all of our computers to AHCI in the future.

    Thanks!
