public virtual bool IsNeutralCulture { get; }
member this.IsNeutralCulture : bool
Public Overridable ReadOnly Property IsNeutralCulture As Boolean
Property Value
true
if the current CultureInfo represents a neutral culture; otherwise, false
.
Examples
The following code example determines which cultures using the Chinese language are neutral cultures.
Note
The example displays the older zh-CHS
and zh-CHT
culture names with the 0x0004 and 0x7C04 culture identifiers, respectively. However, your Windows Vista applications should use the zh-Hans
name instead of zh-CHS
and the zh-Hant
name instead of zh-CHT. The zh-Hans
and zh-Hant
names represent the current standard, and should be used unless you have a reason for using the older names.

Remarks
A neutral culture is a culture that is associated with a language but not with a country or region. It differs from a specific culture, which is a culture that is associated with both a language and a country or region. For example, fr is the name for the neutral French culture, while fr-FR is the name for the French culture in France.
If this property returns false
, the culture is either a specific culture or the invariant culture.
