Access Microsoft Copilot Chat
Microsoft Copilot Chat is available when you sign in with your work account across the Microsoft Copilot app, the web, Teams, Outlook, and the Microsoft Edge browser. You get a unified chat experience that's consistent — simply select the Copilot icon to open or close Copilot Chat, making it easy to access its features no matter where you work.

Microsoft Copilot app
Chat is available through the Microsoft Copilot app, delivering a unified experience across Windows, Mac, and mobile devices.
To access Chat, install and/or launch the app on your preferred device and select the Copilot icon to open the Chat interface.
Web
Chat is available in a web browser and provides the full chat experience.
To access Chat, sign in with your work account at m365copilot.com. You can also open Chat directly at m365.cloud.microsoft/chat or through the Microsoft Copilot app web experience at copilot.cloud.microsoft.
Tip
You'll know you're successfully signed in to Chat with enterprise data protection when you see the enterprise data protection shield icon next to the Copilot icon.

If you aren't signed in with your work account, Enterprise Data Protection doesn't apply.
Teams
Chat is available in Teams on web, Windows, Mac, and mobile, offering a full chat experience.
To access Chat, launch Teams and select the Copilot app in the app bar, and the full Chat interface opens. Alternatively, select the Chat app in the app bar, then select Copilot in your Teams chat list.
Note
Depending on your organization's licensing and tenant configuration, selecting the Copilot icon within an open Teams chat or meeting opens a deeper, work-grounded experience often referred to as Copilot in Teams, for summarizing or asking questions about that specific chat or meeting.
Outlook
Chat is available in Outlook on web, Windows, Mac, and mobile. It offers both a full chat experience and a side pane for quick assistance.
To access Chat, launch Outlook and select the Copilot app in the app bar, and the full Chat interface opens. Alternatively, select the Copilot icon on the ribbon to open the side pane.
Microsoft Edge browser
Chat is available in the Microsoft Edge browser, accessible through the side pane for quick assistance.
To access Copilot Chat, launch the Edge web browser on your preferred device and select the Copilot icon on the toolbar to open the side pane.

Users trying to sign in to copilot.microsoft.com or bing.com/chat with an Entra account are redirected to Copilot Chat on the web.
