Faculty development for engaging learning environments
As instructional leaders, we're continuously looking for ways to provide effective professional development for our teachers. We must facilitate opportunities for teachers to find success in providing engaging learning environments that allow students to thrive in rigorous lessons. Microsoft provides several resources that allow teachers to create a learning environment where student ownership is a priority by enabling teachers and students to choose tools that best meet their needs.
Use cases
- Virtual gallery walk (jigsaw book study)
- Teams breakout rooms for PD (vertical alignment of standards, reading coach holds school wide data chat, then teams use breakout rooms to review current data for students they teach)
- Teachers respond to questions related to a school-wide professional development book study. Other staff members are able to see and access responses and share their comments as well.
