In place upgrade

We are using SCCM to do an in place upgrade from Win 10 build 1709 to 1809. I don't have much information to give you, because at some point the system reboots and the user is presented with the message "Unable to read task sequence configuration disk" and the only option is to be able to reboot. So I was able to open up a command line and I viewed the diskpart info, the partition is RAW and the volume is unreadable by the OS, and I am unable to rebuild the partition. The logs I do get don't help as they are the timestamp of when I pull the logs not when the event happened. So far this has happened to four machines. Any idea of what might be going on?

    Hi @Josh ,

Since you're using SCCM, may I suggest you change the tag to the following: mem-cm-osd
Or you may ask in the dedicated SCCM - Operating system deployment forum over here:

    Hi,

Thank you for coming Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

    1. As with all task sequence issues and troubleshooting, it's firstly recommended to examine the smsts.log on the target system.
Please refer to the following article to export the smsts.log to troubleshoot the task sequence error.
