Register multiple CSV and Excel Files

Hi, thanks in advance for your help.

We're having a large number of CSV and Excel Files containing (Meta)Data. The metadata information of these files should go into Data Catalog as well. I have found the option to create ODBC Connections to each of them (did not suceed on anyone still), but once this would work, a lot of effort would have to be spent.

First: can anyone share an example how a single file could be registered using ODBC?

Second: Is there an option, to register files directly?

    Thanks for the question and also for using this forum.

    As per the document it does not look like that excel and csv file are supported data source from registration tool.
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-catalog/data-catalog-dsr.

    You may try out the WEB UI or the API to get this working .
