I want to check Teams is working properly on my PC before the actual meeting. So I want to check my mic with a test call. I believe you do this under: Settings > Devices. But 'Devices' is missing from the options. I have the same problem with a the desktop app and the desktop web app. I have a free Microsoft account.

There are some old questions with this issue, but the solutions didnt work for me. E.g. I have tried deleting everything under %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and rebooting.

    Hi @Donald MacRae

Do others in the organization have the same problem?

If only a specific user, I suggest setting the default audio device on your laptop.

Device settings (Audio and video) don't appear in the web client. It only appears on the desktop app. This is by design.

If you use Windows, follow the methods in the following article to fix it:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/452028...

If the above suggestions don’t help, as a quick workaround, you could change your audio settings and preferred output device after joining a Teams meeting. During the meeting, you could know a little about the call quality.

Unfortunately, it appears test calls are not available with the free version.
