RDS user temp folder not clearing (server 2012r2)

Dear Team,

We have a server 2012 r2 rdp environment. Recently I have noticed that each user profile utilizes more storage for the APPDATA folder, with more investigation I have found most files are in c:\user\appdata\local\temp and c:\user\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\INetcache.

I feel there is no auto-clear temp folder in windows server 2012r2.

How I can empty this? When I use disc cleanup this is not cleaning user temp/cache files.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to auto-clear temp folder

The folder INetcache used by IE and caches temporary Internet Explorer files.

The local\temp is also used for Windows to store temp files used by Windows services or programs.

You can configure some GPO or script to clean it up

Run Start > Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Place a check-mark next to "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" -> Click OK.
