Can we extend the Expiry time of the backup which is already took from the VM

Hi Team,

Can we extend the Expiry time of the backup which is already took from the VM in Azure. I took the VM adhoc backup with 10 days retention. But now I want to extend the retention of that adhoc backup from 10 days to 60 days, so that backup will be available for restore of VM or files.

Please let me know if have any options to do this.

    The retention changes will be applicable to all existing and future recovery points. However, any new retention category(weekly/monthly/yearly) added to the existing policy will be applicable only for future recovery points.

    Modify the retention policy of any existing backup from 'Modify Policy' page!

    Backup Center > Vault > Backup Policies > Select the currently active policy and change the value as needed as highlighted below:
