I want to trim my videos for my movie, but I can't find Video Editor, the video editing software I used for 10 years. What happened? Did Microsoft drop it? Now, I have to use ClipChamp as a replacement.

Microsoft overwrote the old app with ClipChump, I spent literally 24 hours trying to make a 26 minute video that I could have easily made with Windows 10 Video Editor - So mad about this upgrade with zero warning.

It is not user friendly at all. It keeps buffering and I have very fast internet. I spent a lot of time putting a video together and it would not export. I closed it down as suggested and the sections of that I put together were all messed up. They are trying to upgrade you to premium. Please bring back Video Editor for Windows 10.
This is terrable. I just want to edit a simple video. On my PC not in the cloud.

I was recently working on a unfinished video on Windows 10 Video Editor, and all of a sudden it gets replaced by ClipChamp, and I have no access to my good old Video Editor, so that makes me extremely angry, ClipChamp is extremely difficult to use, and is for some reason connected to internet, meaning it is for no reason slow.
Please, bring back Windows 10 Video Editor!

VideoChimp is horrible. It's like Windows Vista. They had a good product but let Steve Balder ruin it while the other Steve brought us the iPhone and changed history. Netscape was a great browser until Explorer came along and ruined it. Thank heaven Chrome came alone knocked MS browsers to the insignificant. No one uses MS browsers anymore. No one uses VideoChimp anymore either. .

Clip chimp is NOT like video editor AT ALL. It's cumbersome. And where are all the cool effects? Snow flakes, lightening strikes. AWFUL TO LOSE VIDEO EDITOR. And there is nothing I can find that is like it.

I tried Clipchamp, I gave it the benefit of the doubt. ITS ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. I have no time for messing around. Make the old and trusted editor available again and dump this heap of rubbish. VERRY PISSED OFF.

The old video editor was more intuitive and easy to use. I wish it was not upgraded. Clip Champ is hard. I have wasted too many hours and not accomplished what I need. This is so frustrating.

The video editor of Windows 10 was actually bundled with Photos app to edit videos.
You may in Start Search box type Video editor and hit the enter key.
Clipchamp is designed to be user-friendly and have similar basic editing capabilities as the Windows 10 app. Consider giving it a try.
It's garbage, to a guy, me, who just wants really simple editor and an old Win10 machine. I downloaded CapCut as an alternate but will somehow find a bootleg of Windows 10 Video Editor.

What a load of rubbish, let historic users who have paid for there Windows licence continue to use the products, not all users are advanced and may have taken years to learn using a particular product. many users are elderly or have some learning issues. Microsoft should not just replace these programs without any warning or lead time for people adjust. Even better allow the option to just continue using the original Video editor until they upgrade there hardware / software
I Beat the system! My 2006 Windows Vista machine has MovieMaker on it, a very primative edition. It will also save as 1080p, so happy Microsoft doesn't support my old unit.

I've been using Video Editor for the past 3 yrs weekly. I have already tried using Clipchamp several times and there is NOTHING intuitive about it whatsoever. Very disappointed that Microsoft thinks this little of their paying customers to pull the rug out from under us like this :(

Agreed I have tried to use Clipchamp 3 times and it has taken about an hour for my 15 minute Bandicam recordings to load. What piece of shit software this Clipchamp is. I'm looking for something that is easy to use. What bunch of a__holes Microsoft are by changing from Video Editor.

Devastated. I was making videos several times a week using Video Editor effortlessly. Now my laptop cannot cope with Clipchamp. After hours of effort I've not even succeeded in loading a video clip into it. It freezes and then crashes. Removing Video Editor was a horrible thing to do to us all. Where is your conscience Microsoft?

My son helped me download the Video Editor Legendary app. Everything was there as before. There are instructions for the download in this thread. If you have issues finding it please let me know. I had the same experience with ClipChamp.
Clipchamp uses your web browser I can not trust it working on other windows outside the APP I feel that I'm being monitored somehow. This Clipchamp is crap Don't use it

That does NOT work. I go to the Photos app and there is no Video Editor there.
Open your video with Photo Legacy. Click the "3 dots" menu at the top of the window and select "Edit more." Here, you can find some of your more useful video editing functions.
The old Mover maker Was Great WTF you don't just remove it without telling us
And expect us to use the CRAPPY ClipChamp
