Hi Microsoft,

we use winsat tool to evaluate performance with different OS on same unit.

But the strange thing is that he gets two different scores on same unit.

Will Winsat's rating be affected by the software?

Both of these different OS image are modified based on the same operating system(windows 10 1809 version)

Winsat scores can vary depending on the operating system being used. This is because different operating systems have different ways of optimizing hardware performance.

Winsat scores can also vary depending on the drivers being used. This is because drivers are responsible for telling the operating system how to interact with hardware. Make sure all drivers are latest.

If there are too many background processes running, this can take up resources that Winsat needs to run its tests. This can result in lower scores. So, disable background processes.

Winsat scores can also be affected by hardware configuration. More RAM,can help to improve Winsat scores and vice versa.

Yes, these two commands are fine.

    • winsat cpuformal -v: to assess only the performance of the CPU.
    • winsat memformal -v: to assess only the memory performance.
