actually i created too many applications in azure and now in deleted state there are more than 100 web app so thats why i want to delete these
Hi Tahira,
The deleted web apps will be automatically purged after 30 days. There is no manual purge capability.

actually i am facing an error i created an azure devops pipeline in which i used multiple task ..i used 3stages and multiple task one is for ceating web app in azure and other is publishing artifacts and next is for deployment of code ...but when last task AzureRmWebAppDeployment@4 is running for code deployment its generating an error web app not found ...even web app created successfully within 1st stage: WebApplication ...i have also check on az portal (webapp created successfully on portal) ...but after 5 to 15 minutes i run same piepline again than error automatically resolve so i dont understand what is the reason ?
is it possible the issue is occur due to to many application in deleted state in azure?

For troubleshooting purposes, are you able to insert a step to check if webapp exists prior to attempting code deployment step? In other words, the step would essentially do the equivalent of Get-AzWebApp and log if it finds the newly created app or not. I'm curious if that step would succeed but deploying code to same app would still fail (certainly possible).
I've not heard of deleted web apps causing issues, but if you want you could open a support case and ask engineer to purge your deleted apps and then test to see if it makes a difference. You will need Developer support plan or higher to open a case.
In the end you might need to open case regardless since you shouldn't be seeing a "not found" error if the web app was in fact deployed successfully.
yeah actually its also strange for me because this piepline was working fine few days ago ..its also curious for me ...i had also checked with after adding additional task for getting application status ...but the error was still there .. but let me try again by adding this check task....thanks for you answer and suggestions

now you can see that checking application existance is successfull but delpoyment fail with error
