LTSC fixed it domain join issues

We’ve got an ltsc build and a sccm task sequence to install the o/s and join our domain using a fixed ip address, but it fails to join the domain. Logs seem to indicate it’s forgetting the network adaptor * driver during connection. if we use the same build on dhcp on an open (not fixed) network, it joins perfectly first time. Anyone seen this before.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Please help check the smsts.log and c:\windows\debug\netsetup.log (detailed logging of join attempt) and c:\windows\setuperr.log (errors only) to see if there is any further information.

2,Please also help check if the fixed IP address is already used by another existing device.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon

    apologies for the delay.

The ip isnt being used already and but checking smsts.log shows the following I've not seen before

    <![LOG[Getting namespace "Microsoft-Windows-UnattendedJoin" for architecture "amd64"]LOG]!><time="15:18:52.989+480" date="01-11-2024" component="OSDNetSettings" context="" type="1" thread="1824" file="smiinterface.cpp:222">

On the JOIN OU all the OU details are correct.

The sequence is the same as the LTSB build but doesnt seem to work with LTSC
