How do I configure IP Restriction in Entra P1

We setup Entra P1 and activated an IP restriction on one user as a test. The user reports they can still access outlook email on their phone even though it’s not the whitelisted IP address - Any other configuration to do?

I also checked my home PC desktop and the same I can still access outlook email from the app even though it’s IP restricted

So after about 8 hours I recover a notice when checking email on my phone about not being allowed to access - I changed my IP to the white listed on and I am in. That’s good. In my of desktop also after about 8 hours I received a notice that I’m restricted. I closed that window but remained in the outlook app which was working. I tried exiting a few times and still have access on the pc desktop app. I tried outlook online web site and I was restricted on the pc

I may have diagnosed my of desktop issue. Like I said I did revive a massage about having to sign on. But then I still had access to the app. Online it prevented me from signing on as it should. I also have a personal 365 account with the apps. Even though in the outllook app I’m signed into my company account. Perhaps the personal 365 is conflicting with the IP restriction in the company account ? The other what Ionnis why would it take about 8 hours prior to being declined access on my iPhone? That’s working well

Hi @Sal Favarolo, have you configured a Conditional Access policy to restrict the IPs? Could you share the policy settings?

In sign-in logs you will get the IP address that the request is coming from. You can confirm the IP address and check if it is part of whitelisted or blocklisted IPs that you have defined. Also, in sign-in logs you can check and confirm that as to which conditional access is getting applied to the request.
