Sent Email Still in Drafts Folder

I sent an email to multiple people and received responses; thus I know the email was sent. However, the email shows up in my 'drafts' folder and not my 'sent' folder. Has anyone else experienced this issue? How do I prevent this from happening in the future?

Sometimes, the email server may take longer to update the status of the email from 'draft' to 'sent' depending on the email client or service you are using. This is more likely local issue related with your Outlook App

Try using the web interface of your email provider to see if the issue persists.

Manually sync your email client with the server. In many clients, you can find this option under settings or account options.

This issue still exists. The email appears in both Sent Items and Drafts. The Drafts message disappears with an Outlook restart but this should not be necessary. Has any progress been made fixing this issue ? This does not happen in Outlook classic or Webmail.
