I'd like to enquire as to why so many answers are deleted even though they don't violate any code of conduct

Hello All,
This reminds me of the stories of genies granting three wishes. Perhaps someone asked the genie to tackle the spam problems of this site and the result is the indiscriminate deletion of posts. If the next wish is to tackle the random deletion of harmless posts, one can only hope that the unintended consequences are not too disastrous.
