Is there a way to open Word on an unoccupied display?

I have a laptop connected to two displays via usb-c dock. I am wondering if there was a way that I could automatically open a Word document on the opposite display. For example if I have a word document already open on display 2, when I go to open another Word document I want it to automatically open on display 1 and vice versa.

I have tried opening a new instance of the Word application which does open in the opposite display but as soon as I go to open the file in the Word app it overlaps on top of the already open document.

To control the size and position of document windows (and other display settings), try Jay Freedman's add-in SaveViewLocMulti, available for download at https://jay-freedman.info/ .

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Actually files will be opened by order in different tabs in same Microsoft office application. There's no specific setting that can be configured to open files on different displays.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
