MS Visual C++ 2022 x64 14.40.33810 The Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable

Question

While trying to install a game the Visual C++ runtime fails to install and errors out. I see two versions installed on the computer but can't uninstall them. I tried install Visual Studio just to get the installcleanup.exe utility, ran that, and those two redistribution versions remain.

You can download and run the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter tool to uninstall all items of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable - 14.38.33135. Then, retry to install the game. 

If it doesn’t work, you can also individually download and install the VC_redist.x64 version 14.40.33810 from the link.
