How to call a WCF service with wshttp binding from logic app standard?

Hi All,

I need to call a WCF service with wshttp binding from the Logic app standard. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you. Shiva

Hi Shiva - from what I recall WSHTTPbinding offered quite a wide range of potential configuration options - so how you approach this would likely depend on how the backend WCF service you're trying to integrate with was configured

As it was an option with wcf wshttp, keep in mind that windows-auth is generally not supported in Azure PaaS.

I think you'd struggle to do this with the out of the box http connector action (although again i think it would depend a lot on how the wcf service is configured)

Another possible option to explore is building out a custom connector , but this is non trivial https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/logic-apps/custom-connector-overview#service-provider-based-built-in-connectors and you may still run into blockers

Assuming nobody else has a better suggestion for logic apps (and, again, depending on how complex the wcf wshttp config is in your case) ... It may be easier to try and integrate by writing a proxy wrapper for the the older wcf service which you can then expose using a modern interface/modern auth.
