Dear Microsoft Support,

After my verification, it is found that when server2012R2 and server2016 switch the remote desktop session of the same user, they can successfully switch without entering the password. But server2019 is not possible, you need to enter the password. I also tried to switch through the web console of the virtual machine, and there was no need to enter the password. Can this problem be solved? Thank you very much!

Note: This windows server 2019 has no domain added.

    Hello,

Verify the Network Level Authentication (NLA) settings on both PCs.

When logging in via 'mstsc', if you're prompted to enter credentials before the session window appears, it indicates that NLA is enabled, with authentication occurring between the client and the authentication server.

If the session window appears first (similar to the second picture), then authentication is taking place between your terminal and the authentication server.

For domain users, the authentication server should be your domain controller; otherwise, authentication will occur locally. This information should assist you in further troubleshooting.
