Hello,

The situation, is that I have a Hybrid environment, with roomlist synced from On-prem to the Cloud, the roomlist already contains Rooms, the roomlist and its rooms are fully functional and can be used via RoomFinder in Outlook and OWA.
Now in the Cloud I have Cloud only MTRs (Microsoft Teams Rooms) that are already in production, they haven't been migrated or have any representation in on-premises. I would like to add these MTRs to the same RoomList for the users to book them from Outlook via RoomFinder.
How can I achieve this?

What I tried:

  • I can't add the MTRs to the RoomList from the Cloud PS/GUI, I get an error mentioning the roomlist is only manageable from On-prem.
  • I can't add them from on-prem using add-distributiongroupmember because the MTR have no representation on-prem.
  • I tried adding a MailContact in on-prem as a representation for one of the MTR, and then I failed because the RoomList accepts only objects of type Rooms and RoomLists.

Thank you for your help.

    Hi @Rib,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that the Cloud only Microsoft Teams Rooms cannot be added to room list synced from on-prem to the cloud.

I’m afraid that it is common to happen since the Microsoft Teams Room are cloud only.

You could refer to the deployment guide of Microsoft Teams Rooms - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn for more information.

If you have anything else need help, please let me know.
