OEM license proof

Hello there!

So, I've bought a new laptop. And it has Windows home/pro.

If it was Retail version, shop then gave me a box or a card with Windows key, so these things + documents supposed to be "proof of the license".

If I've got an OEM laptop, what should I have as a proof? Is it something official from Microsoft or is it just pack of documents from shop, stating that this laptop was shipped with Windows home/pro?

    Yeah sry. I searched abt it came to know that...

    There is no longer a CAO sticker on a PC that comes with pre-installed Windows .the only proof on that system is by running the slmgr.vbs /dlv command.  On the second line of the resulting dialog under Description they can see that OEM licence, which proves that is embedded in the system BIOS

    Other than that the manufacturer/retailer is the only other source to prove an OEM licence . . .

    If you got an oem laptop with windows. the Product key is registered with the system by the manufacturer by default. so everytime u install/reinstall windows it automatically detects the specified version of windows gets installed. If u sign in your microsoft account in ur laptop then the product key will automatically be linked to ur Microsoft account. If you found this helpful please like
