Azure SQL End of Life Notification

Question

I received a notification from my cloud team that mentions Azure DB for MySQL Single Server, PostgreSQL Single Server, and Maria DB are being retired. I am new to Azure and would like to know if Azure SQL DB and server will be retired as well, so i can plan to migrate to somewhere else if this is true.

As of the latest available information, there are no announced plans for the retirement of Azure SQL Database. Azure SQL remains a key part of the Azure SQL/SQL Server family of database services, offering managed and intelligent SQL database capabilities in the cloud. You can rest assured Microsoft will continue to support Azure SQL Database.

For all the other services you listed that will be retired, Microsoft recommends migrating to the respective Flexible Server options which offer better features, performance, and more granular control over database management functions and configuration settings.
