So, my laptop did a forced automatic update, that I didn’t want had updates turned off, now my laptop only starts to boot, then stops on a black screen.

i have tried everything.

turned off 15 seconds, turned on - doesn’t work

Ctrl ,Win, shft, B - doesn’t work

Unplugged power adapter, removed battery disconnected all other plug ins,, held power button for 20 secs, replace battery - doesn’t work

to say I’m extremely angry, is an understatement. My laptop worked perfectly prior to the unwanted update.

    Hello Cadam

Try booting your laptop in Safe Mode. This will disable all non-essential drivers and services, which might help you identify if the issue is driver-related. To boot in Safe Mode, restart your laptop and press the key to access the Boot Options menu (usually F8 or Shift + F8). Select "Safe Mode" and see if your laptop boots successfully.

Depends on a model of the laptop you are using you can hold shift down key reboot for HP as example with force you for recovery/reset
