My microphone is not working please help

My microphone is not working, can someone help me? It says the best drivers are already installed and there is no option to troubleshoot recording audio and the realtek audio also says its not plugged in.

It looks like your microphone device is not detected. You can try the following steps to troubleshoot:

Check Physical Connections: Ensure your microphone is properly connected to your computer. If it’s an external microphone, try plugging it into a different port.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

Open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).

Expand “Sound, video and game controllers”.

Right-click on “Realtek Audio” and select “Update driver”. Choose “Search automatically for updated driver software”.

If the drivers are up to date, try uninstalling the driver and then restarting your computer. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.

 

Check Privacy Settings:

Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.

Ensure that “Allow apps to access your microphone” is turned on.

 

Run the Audio Troubleshooter:

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.

Select “Recording Audio” and run the troubleshooter.

 

Download Realtek Drivers from the Official Website:

Sometimes, the drivers provided by Windows might not be the latest. Visit the Realtek website and download the latest drivers for your audio device.
