More information on when and why I would connect Container Environments to Application Insight via Otel options.

Question

I've read through all off the documentation in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/container-apps/opentelemetry-agents?tabs=arm but I still don't understand why I would ever use this?

Does it correlate data differently between all of my Container apps?

If I'm already sending data from each application into an AI instance, should I use the same instance for the environment?

It appears you can only link a single AI instance to this so I assume that it's intended to collect data into a single instance for every container app in the environment.
