I am wanting to 'Manage' a Microsoft Entra Joined device but the 'Manage' button is grey and I cannot select it. What do I need to do to 'Manage' this device?

To manage devices with Intune, you need to assign an Intune license to the user account and ensure that the user is within the scope of the MDM Enrollment Policy.

To check if the user is included in the MDM User scope, please follow these steps after assigning the Intune license to the user:

Log in to the Azure Portal.

Go to Microsoft Entra ID.

Click on Mobility (MDM and WIP).

Select Microsoft Intune.

Ensure that the MDM User scope is enabled for "All" users if you plan to manage all devices with Intune. If not, select "Some" and assign a group to the User MDM scope. This way, only the users in that group will have their devices registered through Intune.

To make a device Microsoft Entra Joined, follow the instructions in the document linked below after assigning the Intune license and adding the user to the MDM scope:
