    Does it reproduce after a reboot and verifying you can get to https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/channel manually from your browser? I would like to sure this was not a temporary network connectivity issues.

    If it persists, please check for updates and ensure that all pending windows updates have been installed and completed, then reboot your PC and retry the installation.

    In addition, this is likely due to firewall or web server settings. Please check if you have specialized anti-virus, app-blocker, or GPO based permission software installed. Temporarily disabling Windows Defender and\or Windows Defender Controlled Folder Access.
