I need help logging into my customer community on Teams. I was added as a guest, and when I try to log in, I switch to the community first. It asks me for a Microsoft account, and after filling in the details and Email verification, it's still requests a code from the Microsoft Authenticator app. However, the app shows an 8-digit number, but the login is requesting a 6-digit code. When I click 'Try another way,' it only suggests two options: entering the code or approving with the app. When I try the second option, I don't receive the approval notification. Strangely, if I try to log in with my personal account, I receive the approval notification. Additionally, I can't add my phone number (+94). I'm feeling hopeless—can someone help me fix this? My customer is waiting for my response.

    Hey @abdul hakeem

TOTP configurations are 6-digit codes. If you're being asked for 6-digit code, then that code is in the Authenticator app. However, even though your email is gmail.com, the 6-digit code should be a workplace account rather than personal in your Authenticator app. If you don't have the workplace account configured in Authenticator, then you'll need to reach out to the Teams admin to assist you in resetting your verification methods. The https://aka.ms/mfasetup won't do you any good if you don't have access to a configured and verified sign-in method.
