Windows 10 feature update or in-place upgrade?

We want to upgrade our W10 1803 to 1909 and I have created an IPU task sequence to do this but I'm hearing that Feature Updates would do the same.

Can anyone confirm this? That's like an update to send to machines and the job is done?

    Hi @Michael ,

Correct, you have just to enable Upgrades classification under the Software Update point Properties then download the feature update and deploy it to your Windows 10 1803 collection.

They will receive the feature update like any other simple update in the Software Center.

Ok, but I need to understand the impact on the machines. Is this just upgrading from 1803 to 1909 without resetting things or will it delete all user settings, folders and files?
