Surface Pro 7 boot loop

Surface Pro 7 dropped unexpectedly into a boot loop (i.e., working on machine, closed cover to walk to another room, opened cover and dropped into boot loop). Repeated hard reset (power button, power-vol up, etc.) attempts over the past 24 hours have failed. USB recovery fails (no response). Can't get to UEFI. At wit's end. Only solution I've found online, other than sending back to Microsoft for service (on a unit just out of warranty, of course), is to continually power on/off until the battery dies, which should clear anything stored in RAM. Then, plug back in, power on. Any other hope?

thanks, hydranix. actually have tried that, for a while, by drawing a charge for my phone via the usb-c port. but, seemed like it only hit the battery (i.e., pushed a charge) when the surface pro was trying to fire up. does that usb-c port only provide external charge when the system is on (seem to recall that as a "con" in early reviews)?

Try to run its battery dead. Plug a device into the USB port to help draw more power out of the tablet.
