Managing profiles, sync settings, and sign-in options in Edge on iOS

Earlier this evening I noticed that the authenticator app no longer lets me autofill passwords. Whenever I select the option to fill with an authenticator password, it comes up with the below screen. I go to the app and it authenticates with FaceID but then it still doesn't prefill when I go back. I either get this screen again, or nothing happens...
My settings are still the same from what I can tell but it keeps bugging out and not sure what I can do to resolve it. I've unselected authenticator as autofill option and re-added it plus also turned my phone off to reset it. Any other suggestions?

Yes! 6.8.12 fixes it!
I had to go to the App Store, and select the title (not the open button) and there is the sneaky update button.

Why even bother to answer him ? And u aren’t even sure of your answer. Zero diligence or 100% dereliction . Do you honestly feel this was in any way helpful to him or any of the I’m sure thousands or tens of thousands of people suddenly seeing this issue ? Critical security issue to boot.

Kirito - that was one of the most useless, canned answers I have ever seen from a Microsoft "specialist".
I'm having the same problem.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app on my iPhone. In my MS account, I removed "Send notification to app" security option & re-added it. I also tried disabling passwordless & MFA. My iPhone iOS is up-to-date.
The passkey side of things is working fine. For example, when I login to my Microsoft account from a PC, a code is sent to my phone & I get the notification on my iPhone and it opens MS Authenticator, checks my FaceID & prompts me to pick the number displayed in my PC - THAT PART WORKS.
However, if I go to any site with a login screen using Safari on my iPhone (stackoverflow, microsoft.com, google, etc) and I click on "passwords", MS Authenticator opens, but displays "Complete Setup".
For me, this started recently (within last 7 days or so). I'm not sure if it's the Authenticator that is broken or Apple did an update that broke it - but THIS IS VERY DISRUPTIVE to my day-to-day work.
Hope this helps.

Amazingly, “Authenticator” isn’t a valid tag, when selecting via Edge on an iPad on the provided link…
