Apostrophe on Keyboard

Everytime I push the apostrophe button or shift apostrophe (for quotation marks) on my keyboard when I'm in Word, it won't appear on my screen until I push space bar. If I push, for example, apostrophe followed by an 'a' I get an 'a' with an accent, which is used in European languages, but not necessary in plain old English! My keyboard is set to US-International, and the language is English-Australia. I have tried it with the setting on US and it still happens.

Is there a way to turn off this function so that when I push apostrophe I get an apostrophe? I write a lot of essays with quotes in them, and it is really getting on my nerves.

Thank you.

Hello Alice411,

Thank you for posting.  You could you try another keyboard to see if the problem still continues.  I would also suggest that you check for the latest driver for your device.

Please let me know if this help you
