what does user intervention mean with a printer?

Can't print to my HP wireless printer; says user intervention is required...but no details. what does this mean? How to fix?

Hi,

User intervention just means it requires some sort of human action such

as clearing a paper jam, replacing a cartridge, or many other possible

actions.

As OEM HP is responsible for the proper operation of the printer and their

supplied drivers. Check with HP Support, their on-line documentation and

drivers, and ask in their forums.

Good chance you need to update or re-install the latest available driver.

    my new computer says 'user intervention required" when I try to print.  no more details than that. what do I do?
